Jackasses on Bikes

Correctly (for a change), the media calls this pack of assholes "bikers." As usual, this is more evidence that groups of young men should never be allowed to congregate for ANY reason. As far as I'm concerned, it would be perfectly reasonable for the cops to fire a couple of shots to the head to get the attention of this bunch of morons. You do have to wonder where New York's finest were during all of this? I'd bet the guy in the cage was dialing 911 constantly asking the same thing.

There is another hour's worth of gangbanger video here, just to emphasize how unlike a "family ride" this "event" was. Pretty much any commuting motorcyclist has been put at risk by this bunch of assholes: http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/first-off-has-ray-kelly-said-anything-about-this-gang-1437209127.

The NYT reports that the cops were busy elsewhere trying to dismantle a Hollywood Stuntz type ride, that this was large group of riders that broke off of an even large pack of assholes because of the police attempts to shut down the madness.

It's a sad day when I look at any group and say "You know, people who are part of that group shouldn't be allowed to gather more than two or three together."

These people are idiots, and I can only give thanks that one of them was stupid enough to post proof of that to the internet.

You'd think this would be a good application for one of those Hummers with a snowplow. The good thing about running over a pack of stunt-assholes is that you don't have to worry about hurting someone worthwhile.

I certainly wouldn't defend this sort of vigilante posse behavior, but we really don't know what started the incident. The video didn't begin until after something had already happened. What if the Rover driver had been on his cell phone and already run over a bike or biker? Let's not judge until we have all the evidence.

If you watch the whole video, plus the extra footage posted on the blog page, we know exactly what started this and the Rover driver was entirely within his rights and common sense. This is just a collection of gangsters on motorcycles. A couple of rounds to the head would not hit a vital organ, as my father used to say.

Sorry Paul, but this was just too good not to share:

"I am surprised (pleasantly) at the number of riders who refer to the group as asshats, douches, and worse.

"A few even take issue with calling them 'bikers,' saying that bikers would never ride in such an idiotic manner.

"Found this comment about the guy that ended up in the hospital:
'the guy that was run over had 16 citations, never had a license and was banned from driving in MA till 2017.'

http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/first-off-has-ray-kelly-said-anything-about-this-gang-1437209127

"Watching the third video full screen, just skipping through it, I saw half the bikes had no license plate, several dirt bikes and quads and a ridiculous number of replica nazi helmets.

"Fourth and fifth vids show a blatant disregard for safety, courtesy and common sense. riding on sidewalks, through turn lanes, shoulders, merge areas etc.

"The AMA could take a huge step towards credibility and denounce these morons for setting back motorcycling and its public image."
