We lived in Central City for about 3 1/2 years, so I'd guess the shop was active for about 1 1/2 years and I probably sold Ossas for no more than a year, maybe 9 months. I bought a lot of parts from the Omaha dealer, Wade's Cycle. I think he sold Montesa, also? By late 1976, Ossa and Bultaco were on the ropes and almost finished in the US. I had one Phantom rider who hung on for about a year after I cashed it in and he was a fantastic rider, but I don't think he trophied once in his last two years racing. He gave up and bought a YZ monoshock and was back on the podium overnight. T.W.
