In the always weird and terrifying Craig’s List world, this might be the weirdest yet, solidly belonging in the WTF? category.

- Mark Twain I check the comments on this blog regularly. The idea is that we're going to have a conversation about the ideas I've presented. You should be aware of the fact that when someone emails me an interesting comment, the odds are good that I'll post that in the comments anonymously and reply to that comment on the blog rather than in email.

Disagree? Bring it on. Have more to add? Feel free to set me straight. Unfortunately, Blogger doesn't do a great job of figuring out which Anonymous commenters are actually real people, not Russians or Chinese bots. Because of that, I don't accept anonymous posts. If you have something worth saying, you shouldn't be afraid of using your ID.
That's at least 300 pounds in just the batteries! Bet it handles like shit.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to imagine getting out from under all of that battery acid in a tipover. You could be naked and more than a little uncomfortable, even if you fell over parking that thing, in about the time it takes to say, "How come I'm soaked? It's not raining."
ReplyDeleteThe picture is blurry, but it does say 'gel battery' on them, so no acid spillage.
DeleteAt least that's something.
DeleteI've seen a couple of Goldwing conversions over the years, but mostly the early 'naked' versions.
ReplyDeleteThis one is an example of the 'travelling science project' look that I hated so much and despite being such a vast bike, the builder has had to but two batteries in the absolute worst position up in the top-box.

There are some interesting examples of engineering on that page. Thanks Paul.
