“I Messed Up.”

Three words most casual riders are incapable of saying, “I messed up.” It’s always “she pulled out in front of me” or “there was gravel on the road” or “I had to lay ‘er down.” Read “Kick Ass, Ass Kicked—it’s not not fate, it’s focus” for a racer’s take on what causes most crashes. It’s us. Nobody but us.

  1. I appreciate the humble approach taken by a respected motorcycle enthusiast, racer and journalist. Mr. Ienatsch encouraged many riders to reflect upon their attitude and attention toward riding with his equally good piece; "The Pace" published back in November of 1991 in Motorcyclist magazine. Thanks for sharing this.
