Unlike our odd system, Cambodia's system puts a whole lot of crash blame on motorcyclists. In my experience, that's more often true than not, too.

Liability laws are weirdly avoided by the motorcycle industry because they cobbled together a fake attempt at "education" called the MSF and its acknowledged disconnect between actual highway safety and training. Of course, real training, appropriate licensing, and serious enforcement of laws regarding unlicensed riders would cut into sales, so we can't have that. Gun manufacturers bribe government into pretending that gun ownership and manufacturers are 1) protected by the 2nd Amendment and 2) somehow different, liability-wise, than every other product manufactured on the planet (except pharmaceuticals, another disgustingly corrupt industry). Personal responsibility extends to the people who make the toys, too. T.W. So a country is "smart" if it intends to force Honda and Glock, under sanction of law, to acknowledge that the motorcycle wrecked itself...or that the pistol pulled its own trigger.

That's my takeaway from the quoted text. If the intended meaning was different, I'm listening.Jamesnoreply@blogger.com
